I'm not putting your (Old Ford) down. The only good cars and trucks to me are the 60's & 70's and maybe some early 80's vehicles. The rest are pretty much junk in my book!!
I know I'm a big Chevy fan, but that's just the old stuff. I would never buy a (newer) Ford, Chevy, or Mopar other than the truck that I currently own. I already learned my lesson!!!
I really have no problem with the old Fords.
I know that Chevy is also suffering from lack of sales.

I've heard about these Big Horn Rams. How are they different from the older Rams?

they ride nice, they are tall, and they have alot of power with that hemi in it. My cousin has one and I drove it, I was crusin at 95 mph then some body pulled out in front of me. it has no problem getting up to speed. also they are not bad on gas as weird as that may sound. and Her truck came stock with 33s on it, but they are street tires.

I'm not sure if the shipping laws are different per state, but I was told you can't do that in Florida. I could be wrong, though. Maybe truck freight, but definately not air freight.

Your'e turning Red dude!! There's always mis-guided folks anywhere you go, there's no gittin around that! Let him stay with his Ferds, and We'll be happy-er with our Chevys, Dodge's, etc....etc....
He might have to learn a foreign language to speak to someone at the new Ferd Plants though! ...and he'll probably be waiting 3-months for parts, like I did with the Mexican plant to ship my Holley parts not long ago! The plant people will not talk with the home office folks! It don't matter how high they are on the food chain at the home office ! It's out of control dude!

It's all the same these days. Ford is just the latest sell-out on the radar scope these days. This should drive up the cost of replacement Ford parts, while the new plant workers in whatever God fersaken country they build will be making peanuts for pay!
It's all driven by greed dude! This country's going down hill fast like the Roman Empire did so many years ago. - just my opinion on the subject. Every empire has it's rise and it's fall, The Romans did, the French did, the Spaniards did, the Brittish did, it's just our turn next, that's all. I don't have to like it though.

.....This with the 3.9l V6 you said was anemic, and had no power ?? Are you sure you didn't dream this whole episode ?
A '95 Silverado I can't speak to. Anything newer than an '87 Chevy I don't trust 100%. It's the whole 'new truck thing' with me, as you are well aware. I am bociferous enough on that subject, but if you had said it had been with a '70s or 80's Chevy 4X4, then I would know you was full of snot ! I'll give you the benefit of the doubt this time.

I sware that this happened, I was just as surprised as you, but the dakota wasnt spinning tires at all, it just gripped even at full throttle. He wants to go again so I will see if I can get a pic of it. like I said I was just as amazed as you and still am, maybe it was his driving, i dont know, I let you know what happens next time.
Im positive I didnt dream this. My buddy is a chevy man and he actually got pissed because the chevy lost. he is still pissed,

You'll have to show me da pictures next time dude!! I got some pics of a 'Skunk Ape' and the 'Chupacabra' I can bring out too!!
I'm just bustin yer chops here, dude. Half the battle is driver experience, the vehicle tire condition, air pressure, if it's on gravel or sand, any one of these will turn the tide on the Chevy truck.
I used to drive old '80s Ford F-150 company trucks for an oil company. I could make the rear tires slip on the 2wd trucks with the slightest pressure on the gas pedal ! They had the power and the torque, but I used to wish for a big 'ol fat redneck woman sitting in the back of the bed so's I could get some traction back there!! Couple a good 'ol boys back there eating greazy pork-on-a-stick would have done the trick too, I shouldn't wonder!

That just proves your'e a much better driver than he is!
I've seen a factory F250 put a whoopin' on one of those new Dodge Viper trucks. The Dodge truck guy just floored it, and smoked the place up, but he got pulled backwards by the Ford when all the smoke cleared! It was all over, except for the hollerin' !!
Just get that Chevy truck guy worked up to a froth when you have your re match! He'll put his foot to the floor, and you'll pull his silly @ss backwards again!
