i am looking for info on a civic hatchback from between 1986-1991.  it was in a 4x4 magazine sometime within the last 10 months.  it was lifted and it had the stock motor and drivetrain.  it was in one of the events in the magazine it was in.  the reason i am trying to locate this item is because i am in the process of acquiring a 1997 honda civic hatchback and would like to build it up.  i was telling my dad and brother about it and am trying to show them.  also if anyone knows of a site that will custom build a lift for it, please reply. i am thinking about contacting fabtech to possibly work out a custom build.  if all goes according to plan, i hope to compete in one of the baja races.

thanx and please reply to this if you have any info,

Sounds crazy. It will be awsome when you finish.

I think I saw a civic or something in petersons 4 wheel, but I think that was like 2 years ago. I'm not sure what it was, I think it was just a body, but I could be wrong. Are you going to use the same frame? Or just the body and engine/tranny and stuff?

All I can say to you is, good luck. There was this guy that lives around here that had an older camero body on a lifted 4x4 frame. It had mud ties on it and the guy done an excellent job blending the body and frame to make it look original. He used diamond tread between the body and frame, so there wasn't a gap. It looked really cool, anyway....good luck.
