I have seen many different brand of trucks and I will have to side with Chevy. From the day I was born I have been a chevy man. My first vehicle was a 95' chevy astro van with over 196,000 miles on it.

My grandfather has always bought chevrolet trucks, with the exception of the one ford. While he had that ford it was constantly needing something done on it. One day when he was at the ford dealer trying to get it fixed they gave him a lot of hassels. And in the ford dealership from their phone he called the local checy dealer and orederd his new truck.

For the past 3 years I have gone mudding in northern WI with my uncle who has an awesome chevy w/ 44's. There is always a good mix of trucks up muding, and Chevy always does the best. The group we go up with has manly suzuki samari's, bust mostly chevy, dodge, & ford. Everytime we stop on the trail to "play" it's the fords, dodge's, and small trucks getting stuck. Occasionally a chevy gets stuck, but most of the time they're in 2 wheel drive showing off.

So Chevy will always be my choice of vehicle and you can agree or disagree

You'll be getting no argument from me on any of that !!

'77 Chevy K5 all the way! The rest are just posers in my rear view mirror, or a muddy blurr on the side of the pit!!

Your grand-pappy sounds like a wise man!

I've seen plenty of your chevys heart beats stop, so dont think they are unstoppable. it all depends on how you take care of it.

I can't disagree with that. Maintenance is half the battle.

But then you can take a Ford Fiesta and keep it in a garage - allowing the little old lady from Pasadena to drive it to Church on Sundays, and it will drive much better than a '77 Chevy Beast that's been 'rode hard & put up wet' for 30+ years on the trail and in da mud!  But then who the hell would want to be seen in a Fiesta at ANY time, ...  so you see, It is all relative.

I used to be a Ford man.  My parents always bought Ford, and I have owned several myself.  Never had much trouble with them, but when a fix was needed, it was always expensive and time consuming.  Then I bought my first Sub.  1990, 200k miles, fleet vehicle from a local school district.  I've had to fix alot, but never spent more than 100 bucks on any part (except the auto tranny, and I eliminated the problem by swapping to a manual).  Now I own two Sub's.  One 2wheel and one 4wheel.  Even with gas prices as high as they are, I will never part with these two behemoths.  And people love riding with me and all are impressed with how much I can do with little$.  GM did it right by keeping to what works for so many years!

I'm not sure why that is that Ford parts are more expensive. Maybe Ford is greedier - that wouldn't surprise me at all. You definitely get more bang for your buck with the Chevy's.

I love it when you show some of the 'import tuner' guys what's under the hood. "You can actually see the engine on this beast !" - they say, or "I can crawl in there and work on the engine in the compartment ! " - you do need a small ladder to work on the engine though.

The best is when you take them for a ride, and they tell you "damn, this is a big truck! how fast does it go ?" - then I pin them to the seat with the gas pedal, and their eyes get huge! I love it!!

Keep them big Burbs rolling dude! Chevy forever!!
