i'm new to this page, so here's the fresh perpective.  if i wanted pop-ups i'd be in the arcade with a bright red plastic revolver in hand.  i know you gotta pay bills, but its two ups per in and out of the main not to mention every article that drives me to read it.

other than that this site is great so far.  i've had some fun reading the random forums.

Hey to the 4x4. I love your magazine and it realy is awesome, but i subscribed it Feb. but only got my Apr and May issues. Is it possible that u send me those previous magz. That would be real awesome. And keep up the great work. Add some more stuff about dodge. As some people said, you certainly do have lots of Toyota pages. but all 4x4s are great. Just advice. Rock on.

Great mag, however I live in the Sultanate of Oman where we have great off-road country but no facilities for up-grading and modifying our 4X4's and the dealers are as much use as a dead dog.

Any articles you can include in the mag for readers like myself who have the ability but not the resources will be much appreciated.

Best regards

Dave

I think it's about time for your magazine to allow 2wd trucks in the ultimate adventure.  You allready allow 35" tires why not add 2wd trucks.

Cool rig dude!!

I don't see how the level-5 armor would help ya muddin though. Maybe in Iraq to keep those lead mosquitos away!

I love H1's, and this guy sounds like he knows his stuff.

I'd love to see an article on this subject too!!

Not trying to be rude, crude, or unacceptable here legereb, but did you happen to catch the name of the magazine? Petersen's 4WHEEL & Off-Road....... I wouldn't expect to see a single 2WD truck in this magazine myself. Anyone else?

If I wanted to read about 2wd trucks that drive down a dirt road and call it off roading I would have.  But I don't consider that to be something worth reading about.  My 2wd would whoop about 85% of all of your 4wds and hold it's own against the rest.

Simple articles like "the biggest little mud tire test" are my favorite, also the 5KXJ was a really good story.  For lift kit articles, unless it's something crazy or cool like an IFS for solid axle swap or putting coilovers in something, I think the lift's performance and driving characteristics on and off road in varying terrains is far more helpful than how to install it, as most kits have good instructions or a shop does it for the person.  Also the lift's ride and driving characteristics are importantin picking a lift and your article could be very influencial in lift manufacturer choice.  Also some follow-up articles on further modifications to your vehicles would be nice (I saw in your blog that the 5KXJ has Dana 44 front axle, when did that happen?).

Hey guys!

I want to thank you for the love that you showed Isuzus in last months issue! The "Best 4x4s on Earth" article gave praise to the 98 Trooper and the beefy drive train.  Us Isuzu fans have known this for years, but it is nice to see the mainstream give a little credit! Keep up the great work, and if you want to, come out and join the Moab Zuzoo this year!! Check it out at www.zuzoo.org

Keep on wheelin!

Jeeps, this is what I hate the most, I hate seeing too many jeeps in your magazine. Is not that I don't like them, it is just that I see too many of them in it.

How about posting more photos and articles about full sized pickups?

Now that will be great.

Great Magazine, keep up the good work!

Thanks........

I agree;  There are just too many jeeps in your magazine.  Don't you think that it's about time for you to start posting more photos and articles on full size 1-Ton flat bed 2wd chevy trucks.

My favorite story was DED in the desert (http://www.4wheeloffroad.com/eventcoverage/131_0509_ded/index.html). I am 16.  When I get a truck, that is just what I want to do to: explore places, checkout old buildings/stuff, take lots of photos, and find things to mountain bike on.

I want to get a '91 chevy k1500 ex. cab.  I want to do a Rancho 4" lift in front, and get 4" deaver leaves for the rear to clear 33's.  I really like the chevy IFS article in the May issue.  It will be an awesome thing as it goes on.

I like the cheap tech articles like the recent (may) junkyard article.  There are some really cool aftermarket things for trucks like the tiregate (http://tiregate.com/index.shtml).
It is just so expensive. I could possibly build something similar for less, and even add features that would be benefit me.

I think an article about building an IFS do everthing truck w/ 33's-35's would help a lot of people.

Thanks for making such a great magazine! I have been reading it since I was about 10.

Your exploring old places idea sounds really cool!   I love to get away from civilization and rough it for a while too. I used to do stuff like that in the Calif desert between SD and the mountains in Julian. Really nice country up in the mountains too.

One suggestion you may want to consider on you truck: Take a look at the Rough Coutry lift kits. They are of better quality in my opinion and will give you a better ride too. Not as stiff and rigid as the Ranchos. You pay a little more in the beginning but get a much better ride for the duration.

Good luck exploring!

I live in Santa Barbara. There is some really cool stuff down there that I would like to check out.

I will look into rough country. Thanks for the suggestion!
