I was originally thinking of getting a '91 chevy k1500 ex. cab, short bed.I keep hearing how Toyotas are much more durable and reliable offroad. A Toyota may be the way to go. I want a truck with a good comprimise on/off road. I am thinking a 4" lift in front and deaver leaf packs in the back with 33" at's. I will have a cage built for it, most likely, only in the cab. I would be doing all around offroad, and daily driving. I want to go exploring and find stuff to wheel on, take photos, and mountain bike on. 1. Which would be the best truck/year with the equivalent space to the k1500 ext. cab and short bed? I would prefer coils than torsion bars in front. 2. Which would be the best suspension kit for the front?

Not exactly sure, as I won't be getting it for a year or so.
Now, it's looking the Tundra would be perfect. I would put a good amount of money into though to make it even more durable and have very good quality suspension (nothing near trophy trucks though- haha) _________________________________________________________ It will be for fireroads, trails, sand, some mud,very light/small rock crawling if at all. I will be doing a lot of downhill mtb shuttling (drive to the top of moutains on narrow roads with people ride down the trail, get a lift back to the car at the top). Basicly a mild 'do it all truck'. The mountain bikes usually weigh from 20-50lbs at most. I would like to keep tools, spare parts, in it. I would like to be able to carry a lot. Could I setup a Tundra for mild all around offroading and daily driving? I think a 4" lift and 33's is a good comprimise. I think low/with some travel would be a good idea. I would like it to be decent on the road too. For the back, I would get deaver leaf packs. Not sure about the front though... Also, what would be a good tundra year?
