i was going to say dana 70 and 60, bu i think the 110 and the 80 f-450 axles are much more appropriate. also a monster atlas case with like a million speeds! maybe two cases. i saw a toyota with 3 transfer cases, and was amazing. also, i've never seen the new 54" boggers on a jeep, so you probably need those. also, i think the ua truck should be somthing that dreams are made of, even though most of us will never stand a chance against it, i think it is so awsome to be able to see the amazing trucks people with resources are capeable of. oh also, a cumins 3.9l diesel, with a granny tranny. we got to make this thing crawl. i want to put one of those in my tyota. also, i think all hte plasic fenders should be ditched for real metal flatfenders, and no ugly flares either. for paint? perhaps yellow like a tractor you know, flat and bold. oh, real bumpers to go along with the fenders. not huge ugly bulky lookin things, but beastly and slick please. that'll do

and one more thing! (at least) cut breaks would be really neat too, so you'd have to go selectable locker. that would finish off the tractor ness of it. crawl like a tractor, invincible like a tractor, tough like a tactor, and turn like one! yippee

I'm sure that this is to late but I would love to see a six-speed manual with a 3-4 liter turbo diesel. Portal axles front and rear with Detroit electrac lockers and 39 to 42 in tires with street legal bead locks like the Staun locks.

complete tube chassis 2 seater with the driver sitting in front of the passenger(made street legal of course. hey, if dune buggies can be street legal...). keep it really skinny and use the cummins I6(banks-ified of course) to keep it skinny. custom 2.5 ton portal axles with the 54" boggers on all 4 corners. 6 speed manual because automatics are for woman. atlas 4 transfer case. oh, and a smily face ball on the CB antenna, fuzzy dice hanging off the rear view mirror(whos only purpose is to support the fuzzy dice), and a full set of skull shift knobs.
and dont worry about winches, you wont be needing any with 1200lb-ft of torque and 54" tires. then again, maybe those 2.5 tons wont be strong enough...

JKL Rubicon CRD Let's see something that Jeep can't seem to get right. The true destination for the 3.0L CRD is under the hood of the JKL Rubicon. Jeep should stop trying to stuff the CRD's down the throats of the soccer-mom Grand Cherokee and Liberty, and give it to their loyal and pioneering Wrangler customers. 4Wheel would build a great Ultimate JK I'm sure, but if the CRD gets the nod - let's see it early in the project (like Phase 1) and do some apples to apples comparisons before other mods are mixed in? JKL Rubicon CRD

I would love to see a H3 built up. Maybe with Portal Tek axles and a diesel.

well i know that this is a really late post, but as i was scrolling through the site and i noticed this forum and started reading the idea of a mini-van, like a dodge caravan or something sitting on dynatrac pro series. With some 42" Krawlers, Cummins 6.7L, front and rear ARB w/ 5.29's. 6 speed transmission, dual transfer cases.
Also another lil side idea that i had would be 4 wheel hydraulic steering, make for real tight turning radius's.

The 07' Tundra crewmax with rockwell axles and 44 inch tires. That would be cool but i would leave the engine and brakes stock because toyota says this truck can do anything so prove it. And to be cool, turn the bed into a flat bed and make it hold coolers, a hi-lift, tools, a winch, pre-runner style spare tire, and lights.

Have to keep in mind that it still needs to be street legal (at least barely). I would start with an older full size Blazer, full tube cage front to back welded to the frame (or complete tube chassis), body custom skinned over with all still working - windsheild wipers, heater, etc. Lengthened wheel base, 4 link front and rear, king coil-over shocks, 18" travel, 2 1/2 ton rockwells fitted with Overson Engineering goodies, 4 wheel steer. 54" boggers would be nice, at least 49" Iroc's, severely cut fenders. 502 ram jet, 4L80E trans, 205/203 ORD combo transfer case, 2-ton drive shafts (long travel). Custom ball mount front and rear to move a 12000lb Warn winch to front or rear (prewired so just plug in). Dual optima batteries mounted behind driver/passenger seating. Wow, this is getting too long, you get the idea.

I know the '07 UA has come and gone, so i guess this reply is focused towards next years rig.
there seems to be an interest in seeing a hummer H3 built into a streetable trail rig, rather than their current prerunner/trophy truck form.
so here is my idea of a wild H3 build up...
start off by ordering the hummer with the LS7 found in the Z06 Vette (505 hp ) get a 4l80e behind that and the new STaK monster box with the 4.33 and 2.43 low ranges.
locate a set of those monster F450 danda's under it with a set of custom built boxed radious arms that have a one inch hiem joint at the frame mounting point and prothane bushings at the diffs. to accomidat further articulation than the hiems will alow alone have a swivelling shaft machined with the correct thread pitch for the hiem that bolts to the end of the radious arm with brass bushings simmilar to how a mid ship on a loader has, only smaller so that the shaft will spin inside the end of the arm. this will also alow for a 4 wheel allignment.and a chromolly panhard bar to keep the diffs centered under the H3. 4.88 gears should suffice in the diffs due to the masive power and torque from the LS7
the airbag coilover would be awesome to keep a low COG on the road with that heavy midsized body and be able to keep soft suspention for in the trails.
a nother idea ive been pondering for one of my own build ups is a role cage built of rectancle tubing over round. i think the rectangle tubes would accent the square bodylines inside and out found on the GM hummers, as well as give a futuristic sci-fi feel to the buildup.
custome bumpers with front and rear 12000 lb winches. swing out tire carrier, and some really bright lights recessed in them front and rear.
I love TSL BOGGERS so of course if it were me id go with them, however i reallize BFG sponsors the event,so get the very biggest Krawler or KM's available, put on the beadlocks used this year cause they seemed to be tough and reliable.
as for the rest of the little details (fuzzy dice, highlift location, or drawer system) thats entirly up to u.
with all this rediculase power this rig is obviously focused on deep mud... so for a location to go beat on this thing, id suggest Michigan state, and Ontario Canada (mostly cause I live in Sudbury On.) come up and try ur luck in some of the deep mud in the great north. also a night run would be cool to see in next years UA.
