log truck springs on a F2504x4

im doin a project truck.its a 90 f 2504x4 and i want to put log truck springs on it.how would i go about it?any help would be greatly appreated

You need help but not with your truck!(Just kidding)  Your truck will ride like crap if you do that.


How long are the log springs?  You probably can put on new spring hangers to make them fit.   Take the hangers off the log truck if you can- that way they will be the right size.  When you put the hangers on your frame make sure you use at least 4 grade 5 bolts(don't just weld them on).  Welding will weaken the frame around the hangers.

Check the springs on a 1974-78 3/4 4x4 high boy the spring are tight enough  and should be long enough for what you want.I had one and could haul 2 ton of cut fire wood with it. I had 36" swampers and a 2" suspension lift backed with a 3 " body lift and a destroked 390. I built it to go deer hunting in the back woods of iowa,mud runs and to haul. It looked bad but out did every thing that was there in the hunting party with ford pride,including a couple of old chevy's.
