I think their is a new mitsubishi 2.6 liter? I was wondering? I have a 87 Dodge mini 50 automatic

tranny ,I was wondering if the new 2.6 will slip onto the the old tranny in the truck. Is the Bellhouseing bolt pattern the same? Can I use the old torque converter?
