If its 4wheel drive lift it, if its 2wheel drive sell it for a 4x4 lol no then its OK to lower it i guess.

I've never seen an early 60's pre-runner (lifted 2wd, like those Baja desert trucks). It could be cool. Expensive though because of all that fabrication.

Fabrication isn't expensive if you do it yourself. But if you dont have the welding skills I wouldn't suggest it. If it is 4wd I would definatley lift it and not lower it, but if it is 2 wd I would leave it stock and pay attention tot eh engine.

A 63 chevy has the rounded windshield still and s bad about hitting you elbow and other getting in and out but still the same body style as 62-66 years and in 2by form the same suspension up to 72 i think. The trailing arms will be just longer coil springs to lift the problem woll be lifting the front and keep the camber for the steering right. So a lift of about 2" is doable but for bolt on to drop it 2" is easiest but that is what eveyone does. Look at lifting it a few. maybe coil spring spacers front and rear for ich or to than a 1 or 2" bodylift then some tires as tall as possible looking out for when the suspension is compressed that are atleast 11.5 inches wide(32x11.55s or 31x12.50s) Then you will not hate that it is lowered when you need to go places and it scrapes or drags bottom. Truck blocked in the driveway and cannot get out because it is to low to cut accross the yard or ditch to get out. '73 chevy stepside 350/3on the tree/205/44-12/35's

That would really depend on whether or not your 63' is 2 or 4 wheel drive. I've seen some lowered 4x's and I think that is the stupidest thing to do to a 4x. 4x's are for wheeling not for lowering!

lift it i have seen a few of those yours lifted and they look very aggressive, with the right wheel and tire combo.
