is it posable to flip the shackles on a dakota, the same way that you can on the full size trucks?
I'm thinking that is should be possable, the springs are already over the axle, and the shackles are currently tension type. so how much lift could be expected from flipping the shackles? and also, is there any chance of adversly efecting the driveshaft by doing this?
thanks,

I think it would be pretty easy, I have the Off Road Design shackle flip on my 95 Chevy (4" lift, plus an add a leaf and 2' block) . It was easy to install and cheaper than new springs. I don't know of a bracket made for the specifically Dodge, but it shouldn't be too hard to make one. Flipping the shackle lowers the rear of the spring and tilts the pinion angle up, which can help with driveshaft angles. My driveshaft lined up almost perfect, after I put on 35's I had a slight axle wrap problem and had to shim it down a little. I just turned the 2" tapered lift blocks around and it was perfect.
