How to raise fuel tanks after installin a body lift on my 85 chevy 4x4?

your fuel tank will not be raised. leave it where it is. what you do is cut your fuel tank filler tube that runs from your tank to the body.
cut it in a good place and put a stainless steel spacer 9the same legnth as the lift, and put it inside eache cut end of the tube to extend it. put clamps around each end. that spacer should be in your kit
or just get a longer tube and call it a day

Just another reason not to buy body lifts.
They suck! Spend the money for a real lift. You'll be much happier!

I'm guessing that you have a truck, and after the body lift, the "side saddle" gas tank is hanging below the body?
if that's the case, I would think swaping in a tank from a K-5 blazer would be much easier than trying to raise the tank that you have. the blazer tanks fit between the frame rails, and wouldn't be as noticable as the side saddle ones that are on the trucks.
