i have a 75 cherokee with a th400 trans. the tranny began spraying fluid through the dip tube and then quit engaging at all. it has fairly low miles (about 12k) since rebuild. even full of fluid it acts like it is in neutral in all of the gears. and it no longer sprays from dip tube. any ideas? i am thinking that i am leaking pessure from the valvebody for it to spray from the dip tube.  please reply

You definately have valvebody problems, you may want to drop the valve body off and check the location of the checkballs.
