I am having trouble with my wheel bearings on my 1994 YJ.  I was told that I need to get the entire hub assembly. Is this true?  Is there a better one out there? Or are they all the same?

that's not completely true, but it makes sense, depending on how much damage is done from the bad bearings to replace the whole deal. the stock hubs on a 94 yj are not designed to carry the weight of a 33" tire and they will probably wear out more bearings and eventually break down. i'm not too much up on newer jeeps but i think warn makes a good manual hub for your jeep. i will ask my wheeling buddies and get back to you. a good thing to try, is find a small 4wd shop in your area and get to know the guys there and you can learn a lot by just talking. stay away from the bigger shops and car dealerships because they will tell you anything to get your coins. hope this helps.

you might ask around, but another idea would be to do some checking and measuring to see if a d35 or d44 out of an older cj will work, you might have to do some fabrication, but you can find one in a junk yard for around $200.  that's why i went with the bronco, they are tough and parts are plentiful and cheap, and best of all with some imagination , a torch and a welder, you can make anything work, and NO stupid computer on it to foul up. if you try that idea, let me know if it works

good luck

Thanks swamphorse but I already changed them. Its my daily driveer and I needed to drive it. It was a simple swap and didnt need to be pressed in.
