I have a '90 Cherokee with 3" lift, 30x9.5's on stock rims, and 2" wheel spacers all the way around. Only problem is that the 30 inch tires try to take out my front fenders when the suspention is compressed. (i.e. when going through ruts or a steep ditch) And the wheel spacers make the problem worse. I know I need to cut some out of the front fenders, but does anybody know what is the best (easiest) way to cut them? I don't have a torch....

SAWZALL, (reciprocating saw). Or a die grinder with a cut off wheel.

a dremmel tool works good too, but yo go through a lot of disks. a 4'' hand grinder works pretty good. but my choice is a craftsman cut-off tool. $39.99 at sears. just make sure you got a good compressor.

a cutoff wheel will not last very long but be better in the end.

I would have to agee with bodyman 4" grinder hwever theres very little in the rear to take off. with your spacers your pushing it to pass safty, keeping your tires staying near or under the xj (if I'm not mistaken)and my opinen there isn't any real atractive flares for the xj so I took off like 2" in the rear and 3.5" up front and leave it flat fender and when I need a sticker I find a cool tech that would love a case of cold ones

Id get rid of the spacers and trim with either sawzall or grinder. But dont forget about the lip in the front fenderwell that you may want to bend over while your at it
lets go wheelin

yep...I used my 4" grinder to cut off my 4" fender flares that were attached to my 79 cherikee to stuff 35" mts w/out a lift now I wont have to worry about the tires rubbing until I go bigger then itll get 4" of lift and 38"...oh and a new engine.
