Have an 02 Ram QC 2500 CTD 6 speed and the CON-OFE clutch. A trusted friend was hauling his trailer when the rear wheels locked up at highway speed (it was in 2wd, I checked). Got the truck to the side of the road without hitting the rails or anyone else, thank God! With the T-case in neutral there is a rotating noise inside. Are there common problems with these cases or am I just lucky? I know that the NV4500 has some history with the 5th gear nut backing off, but I have yet to hear anything about the NV5600. What else should I watch for? Can I get the kit to replace the stock T-case with the NP205 yet? Help! I need this rig running ASAP but only want to do this once... Chris

Being that the truck isn't to old, and you might still be in your warrenty(assuming you did no extreme modifications) I would take that truck back to the dealer, throw it through there windows, with a lawyer by your side, demanding a new t-case installed and a full inspection on the transmission, axle, differential and everything involved with your mishap. I've NEVER heard of a t-case failing on these trucks. I have a 98 24V Diesel, so I am always searching for what fails in these trucks. I have to worry about my weak Auto-Trans, and my injector pump system.
Good luck
