I found the trick to bypass the auto headlights on 99 GM new body style trucks. It is only a temporary fix. It will get you in the woods to hunt without the lights announcing your arrival until you turn switch on or unhook bypass. Put a jumper wire across E- brake switch contacts before starting the truck and the lights stay off unless you turn on headlight switch. The reason I say temporary is because the warning chime and E- brake light will not go off and stay off when truck is put in gear. The chime can be stopped too but those body control modules where the chime resides are not cheap to replace. If you go that far. Pull BCM module from under steering wheel open box up and pop off the little black chime with small screwdriver. Brake light still flashes but no more chime.  SS65
