I have bought the Viair 450 hardmount and would just like to know if there are any tricks I should know about the mount or just worked best for you.

thanks,

Use rubber mounts, (if it doesn't come with any) that will help isolate the vibration, also loc-tite and nylock nuts to mount it, so the nuts or screws don't vbrate loose.  I would stay away from pop rivets, because you can't tighten them up if they work loose.  Some guys find a spot on the frame, this makes things quieter, but exposes the compressor to more water/dirt/traildamage. Others mount it in the engine compartment (usually on a fenderwell) you might need to move somethings around to find space, but I would go for the under hood mount, it will be fairly quiet, and stay drier, cleaner, and damage free. Also, you might find enough room under the hood for a small airtank...
