I am lucky. i own a 89 xj and curently perchased a 93 dodge power ram whats so cool about that is if i put the two in a jar and shake it something realy awsome is bound to come rolling out.or just a bunch of crap parts if i dont have the the right encoragement. im not incoheirent to wheeling. and in michigan i know these parts would be suficiant. the only problem is i have no need for a truck "i know im killing you dodge guys" my jeep fits 4 buddys and my st bernard.and still pulls the dirt bike trailer. and jumps well at silver lake. so up grading it with bigger faster stonger parts, would make it climb higher jump farther carry more dirt bikes and a dune buggy.the question i have is with the dana 60's a larger axle does someone make a suspension kit that will alow me to bolt them on with no serious fabrication time. will this engine, trans and t-case logicaly fit without cutting every thing apart. or am i just plan wasting my time and should just sell the parts and up grade the equipment i have allready. the dodge has -matching dana 60's with 4.11 gears -multi port fuel injected magnum 360 with a od trans bigger than 727 t/f and all the wireing and plumbing to go with. -n/p 205 fixed yoke the jeep -completly stock -4.0 -tooth pick axles
thanks much rick

If you want this creation to come to life, I hate to say it, but go get a welder, torch(Or plasma cutter), pipe bender with dies, some raw material and get to work.
The rear 60 should drop right in with relocating the spring perch mounts and shock mounts. I just did a 3/4 ton swap in my YJ so I can talk you through the rear end mount up. as for the front 60.....You can buy the front lift link arms for the dodge application and just weld up some mounts on the xj. Spend a little extra money and buy some coil overs for the front (and fab up some coilover mounts). Put at least a 6 point roll cage in to stiffen up the chassis to support the extra power and pounds. custom mounts for the engine. swappin over the ecm from the dodge and wiring it up. might have to enlarge the tranny tunnel to make room for the tranny and t-case, take the dodge driveshafts and cut to fit, Did I mention strengthen up the chassis. If you don't buff up the chassis, you will get stress fractures in the seam welds in a New York Minute. The jeep is a unibody construction, there is NO frame to go off of. That is why it is imperitive to strengthen the chassis to support all the extra power and pounds.
Cut as much out of the fender wells to make room for the larger tires and wider width.
If you accomplish this, other xj owners will be very jealous of your rig. Plus, I've never seen a set up like this done. Sounds wicked cool. But you will have to do alot of fabrication to make it work right.
Do it right the first time so your not repairing other things in less then a year. good luck
