i have a 1992 isuzu pickup 2wd 5spd 2.3L with a 4.10 10 bolt rear, it has a 3inch bodylift, 33,10.50,15 super swamper tsl's, the torson bars are set so the truck sets level, [the basic motor], it has 3 wire connectors 2vaclines a throtle cable an radiator, 2 altanators 65amp apiece, three batterys 2 are 3500 cranking 1 925 cranking, thers no smog or pump any more, or cat, its got 2 engine bolts an 2 tranny bolts, it is the easiest *** vehicle to work on in the world it only takes 20min to pull the motor an tranny out. i have almost the best of every thing for it, bosch platnum +4 plugs, bosch 7mm premium wires, bosch cap an rotor, lifetime warranty 30% greater than stock clutch, msd blaster 2 coil, it has lifetime balljoints, wheelbarings,an tierod endlinks, all this info is prolly getting boaring but i want you to now what all i got in it, all new brakes an brakelines an wheelcylinders, sooo pretty much the truck is brand new but with a little extra ASS in it. what i would like to know is what the *** rear axle parts can i us in it, i really want some 4.56 or 4.88 gears for it, every were ive looked says its a dana 35 or chevy 7.5? i really dont want to order a ring an pinion thats not going to fit or fit back like factory. i think the truck has a limmited slip diff? b/c when i go mudding it will spin both 33's an kick sideways an throw roosters everywere. the problem is going up steep hills it is a dog, most of the time it will make it up but only with a littl running start, i would like to have a locking diff an 4.56 or 4.88 gears, anyone with any info about the axle would be greatly helpful, you can post me or e-mail me at thapioneer_18@yahoo.com

Check out any 86 and older troopers, I'm pretty sure they all came with 4.56 gears. Check the option code panel under the hood, if you have the code g80 it has a lsd rear. Check out www.independent4x.com for more isuzu stuff. and also www.planetisuzoo.com  lots of info there.

sorry about making you have to work to read it.lol  what i am looking for is if anyone knows what the exat rear end is so i can find a lowwer gear for it (4.56-4.88). i go trail ridding an alot of mudding, what sucks is trying to go up a hill. it doesnt do to bad gas consumpion wise on the interstates though, but acceleration sucks ass. i have to leave it in 4th b/c the rearend is such a high gear for the tires on it now. stock its suppose to have 195/75/14's. an it has a 4.10 rear.

If it has a third member like a ford nine inch it's the isuzu 10 bolt. I'm pretty sure that the way to tell the 10 bolt was it has drum brakes, the 12 bolt has disc brakes and some isuzus came with dana 44's. The 10 bolts are not the same as the GM 10 bolts, a strictly Isuzu product. If you can fid an 86 or earlier trooper snag the third member out of the rear end. Troopers only came with 4,56's it will bolt right in.
