ive got a 78 k5 blazer and i am looking to upgrade my 33 inc bfg mt tires to a 35 inc size.  I cant make up my mind though on which to choose, ive narrowed my choocies to boggers, tsl, trxus sts, nitto mud grapplers, or toyo open country MTs.  My truck will see about 50/50 street and off road.  Steet during the week and off road on the weekends, the terrain will either be glamis sand or hard dirt like in jhonson valley and barstow...  All tires will be radial 35xeither 12.50 or 13.50 x 15. Any of your opionions would be nice

I would go with the Toyo's for what you are describing.

The boggers are a big no, they wear fast, are loud, and suck in most anything but mud (in my experience). The Nitto's are loud on the street and I'm not down with the claws on the sidewall... but thats just me... So yea... Toyo get's my vote.

Take a look at the Thornbirds they work very well in a wide variety of terrains. They ride good on the street and the aggresive side wall help in mud sand snow. Just compare, shop, and read buyers reviews where ever possible.

i like what ive heard about the toyo mts but the only thing i don' tlike about them is that they seem more expensive compared to other similar tires, but i might just get over it and buy them.  but has anyone had experience with the interco trxus sts tires, the ones with flame designs on the sidewall, they look like they would be good for sand and street.   im curious, since the boggers are basically street legal paddle tires wouldnt they be good for the sand? you rarley see boggers on anything but mud boggers or show trucks but it just seems that the deep lugs in the boggers woudl work good for the sand.  Also any body got comments on the interco tsl tires?

i have 38.5 x 11" boggers and they dig deep holes in sand, i dont think a 35" bogger will do u too well in sand because ur rig is a little heavy and they will brobly dig u down to the diffs befor they hit some hard wet sand under the  loose.

if u like the sts trxus u may also like the dune grappler from nitto.

i dont really like the nitto dune grapplers as they seem too all terrainish, my choice now is between toyo open country m/ts or sts trxus.  I think the reason your tires dig deep hole in the sand is becasue there only 11 inc wide, you want wider tires in the sand dont you?  Anyways my cousin has 35x 14.50 x15 boggers on a 1/2 ton toyata that he uses in the sand and he seems to go anywhere with it, he the only one ive seen with boggers for sand but they seem to work good.
