I've got a '97 crew cab 1/2 ton with a 350/4l60E. I've got a procomp 6" suspension lift and 3" body lift sitting on 35's. I hate the ifs front end on this truck and recently bought a '89 1 ton with a dana 60 np205 transfer case. I'm doing the whole straight axle conversion thing and because the dana 60 has a right side pumpkin and my ifs was left side I also am going to put in the np205. Where can I find the right adapter and can I install the transfer case shifter in the stock location as a regular pickup with a floor shifter. I want to make the interior stock form and get rid of the electric push button 4wd. I've also heard that the actuator solenoid needs to be left installed and tucked out of the way or computer will set codes. Anyone with info or has done this would be appreciated. I like to think a head of where I'm at so it'll go smoother.

I've tried advanced adapters web site before and all I could find for this aplication were couplers and output shafts. I was wondering if there has been anyone out there that has seen, done or heard of this. I appreciate the advise and I thought the same thing and fired off an e-mail to advanced. I'll post if I hear anything.

Call AA. Best way to find out if they have/can do something is get the info straight from the horses mouth... web sites get outdated...

I called Advanced Adapters and it turns out thet have a kit for me. The kit bolts to the back of my 4 bolt squre flange and is 1" thick then outside is 6 bolt round and I have to use original adapter from transfer case and bolt it in. The crapy part is I have to remove my trans and change the output shaft. Just something else I'm glad I checked before teardown.
