Today I picked up my engine and trans. It is a 2006 3.5 vortec i5 and a 4L65E. The transfercase happens to be in the passenger side, I also got the interior wiring along with the transfercase module and the selector buttons with indicator lights. I was also able to get both driveshafts and all the exahust system, to finish the package off the evap and fuel system were also included. Looks like I have some wiring notemare ahead of me but nothing I havent takled before. I will start by weighin the drivesystem and working on the electrical. My intenton is to start the engine outside the truck first. than get the transfercase working and finally plan the execution. In the end I should have a mild trail ready rig with A/C, heat, fully functional drivetrain and reliable enough to drive cross country.

Here are some pics of my new I5  the transfercase  turned out to be in the right side if the truck. I am done working the harness and I will be starting the engine next week.  

Update on my toyorado:
Today I started the engine on a test stand and after mooving a few 1 and 0s in the software the imoviliser was bypassed and had full functionality.  #2  the push button transfercase shifter and module refused to work without the front axle logic in place. I had to put a few resistors together and a relay that pretends to be the front diff in engaged position and VOILA!!!!  PUSH BUTTON TRANSFER CASE SHIFTER OPERATIONAL!!!!

I just got my trailgear solid axle kit after a long weekend of cut and torching the old IFS. I have posted some new pics of the vortec 5 cylinder engine.
The radiator clearance was tight but still some room for a 16 electric fan. The engine endedup 3/4 of an inch from the firewall and limited by the E-Brake downturn cable housing.
The transfercase is in thye right side but the beauty of this 4L60E is that advance adapters makes tha adapter for an NP 205 or an atlas for that matter.

The A/C, Heat and smog will be operational
