I drive an '86 GMC Jimmy an while I have fun with the IFS, Im looking at a solid front axle and Im not really sure where to start. I certain that Im getting a dana 40 front but I just dont know how to go about doing the suspension and steering. thanks yall  

Several questions need to be asked before answers will help you.  What type of use will it have, on road and off.  What size tires do you want to run.  Do you want leaf springs up front, coil springs, or coil over shocks, etc.  Some have just put the S10/S15 body on a full size Blazer/Jimmy frame.
