Can somebody tell me why there are only 3 manufacturers that are offering E-rated 35 x 12.5 or 13.5 x 17 tires (or the equivalent 315/70 x 17)with 65 PSI max pressure which to my knowledge are TOYO, Interco and Parnelli Jones? I talked to some manufacturers and they told me that the agreed industry standard is D rating with 50 PSI max. for this tire size. This sounds kind of strange since there are the 3 manufacturers thatdo make them. There are a lot of trucks and suspension kits out there for which the E rated tire would be great if you are not only into extreme off roading. My specific problem is that I love to go offroading in my modified 99 Dodge Ram Diesel with lots of power, ATS tranny and torque converter, ARB lockers, 4.88 axleratios, mile marker hydraylic winch, modified steering etc. just to name some of the options. However, I am using this truck also for everything else including heavy loads, pulling an 18000 lbs 5th wheel toyhauler and driving it on a daily base. I don't like duallies because of the manuverability but I need the payload and the higher pressure. At the moment I am driving the Parnelli Jones which are great in general but they don't last too long. The only other 3 choises I see are the Toyo MT, the Interco TRXus MT and the SSR radials for my purpose. It's a shame since there are so many other great mud tires out there which are decent and not too loud like the BF Goodrich, Pro Comp, Hercules, Mickey Thompson to name a few. However, they are max D rated with 3000 to 3195 lbs. and 50 PSI max only. This a very popular size, why is that?

I have a set of the toyo m/t's they are wearing extremely fast, I also drag around a 34 ft toy hauler, that the reason I bought them, I'll probably fo back to the BFG's, at least they last longer than 35,000 for me, these toyo's have 30 percent remaining tread and only have 14,000 miles on them, believe me I watch the wear and presures.
I have 34x12.5-16 TruXus m/t's on the jeep, I don't think I'll get a bunch of miles on them either, they are the best I've had so far for traction, noise and handling, they make less road noise than the toyo m/t's on the suburban.

Well i also have 35/12.50/17 Toyo MT, and i already have over 20,000 miles on them and i still have over half the tread left on them. My dad used to same tires except for in the 35/12.50/18 on his 1 ton dodge ram and he got about 55,000 miles on them and they still werent completely bald when he sold them.
I have also had the Trxxus MT in 33/11.50/17 on my GMC sierra 1500 and they wore out before the 35,000 mile mark. In my opinion they were a crappy all around tire.
I personally would go with the Toyo's if it was me. But i know that everyone has there own opinions on what they prefer.
also u can get MICKEY THOMPSON baja claw MTZ in E range, and u can also get Pro Comp Xtreme Mud terrain!
