All-right, I would like some opinions, Money is Not a problem & Big & Street leagel is the goal. Its a crusty, I think a 74 power wagon thats been sitting for along time on a side of a barn. Frame is good & body will be ok. It will be All new from motor to the rear end & EVERY THING IN BETWEEN! What would u do?
I have been kicking the idea around for a long time & have decided to do with a hemi & not desal. Air ride & dana 60's. I would like some ideas. Thanks in advanced for the input. I would hate to finish it & wish I did it a diferent way Or went a different avenue.

If not limit on money, then why not 4 link/coil over front and rear. The Dana axles, unless you want to go really big on tires (46" up), then maybe 2 1/2 ton rockwells filled with Ouverson engineering goodies. Majorly cut fenders so you don't need a super tall lift. Perhaps an atlas transfer case. Fully caged front to rear. Sounding good so far? Think about it.

that's going to be a pretty heavy rig... if you're going to go through the effort of putting a hemi inside you might do a bit more research into a diesel... an inline 5.9 cummins with an NV4500... you can get a ton of power and you'll be able to get that beast up and moving without much effort... but i love the sound of a cummins in anything... as for the axles... i'd definately put in some rockwells... i'd love an atlas... but i really like the NP 205 for shear brute strenght and pretty good on road manners... and the 7something to 1 ratio available in those rockwells will make up for the 2.5-1 low range in the transfer case... as for the trimming the fenders i agree completely... keep the weight close to the ground and keep down that center of gravity... plus you have less chance of breaking headlight laws...... but it sounds like an awesome project.. you'll have to post some pics as the project comes along...
