smiley here again, just bught a 2inch body lift for my 99 dodge. i know everyone says to have a pro install it. but im a cheap  bastard. if anyone could give me any secrets to doin it in ur own shop or driveway that wod be great. thanks guuys

A hoist would be nice, but you just need a level hard surface to park the truck on for a while.  If you have the old screw jacks that came with 80's and 90's GM trucks, they work good (4 of them worked for me), and just use block to set them high enough.  Remove all the mounting bolts and disconnect any linkage, wires, hoses, etc. that wont be able to handle raising 2 1/4" - 3" (because you need to raise it higher before setting it back down on the 2" blocks).  Then you make the changes for anything needing longer reach.  And bumber brackets if you want it to look normal.
