the specs are:
89 jeep cherokee 4.0 5speed
swapped in chrysler 8.25 axle
sye and double cardan driveshaft
5.5" rubicon express lift

I measured my drivline angle and the pinion angle is 10* and the driveshaft angle(or slope) is 20*
That means there is a 10* degree difference between the two.
It was recommended to me that I should go with 8* shims. This sounds like alot of shim.I know I want the pinion angle to be 1-2* below the output angle....
I'm thinking that I should go with 6*shims????
It was also advised to me that a shim changes driveline angles 1.5 times....so by that theory an 8* shim would put me around 2* ABOVE(1.5x8*=12*)
Conversly....a 6* shim would put me about 9* which would be about 1* under to account for axle wrap upon acceleration.
Sorry for the long winded post.....
