Hi, i was wondering about an engine swap im interested in trying.. farely simple: i ve been working a 350 which is now a 355 74 block, i would like to swap out my 93 k1500 4x4 350, take it out and put in the 355,, what im wondering about are the electronic controls, computer etc. what kind of mods are necessary?? i notices theres a cam sensor on the distributor and would this affect things also? would like to change out and rebuild the 93 also.. any help??Ive started this project from about bare bones from the scrapyard, so any additional help would be appreciated.thanks

It should be the same thing provided the heads are 87 up also, 87 to 95 to be exact. the only difference will be the intake bolt pattern on the heads. everythin else should transfer right over. The only concern is if you have swapped cams or changed compression or exahust you will have to chip it to compensate for timing and load values with a different vacum at idle. you can install an adjustable fuel pressure regulator and boost 1-2 PSI to compensate for the 5 cubes you have added.
MAKE IT SMOG LEGAL!!!

Be very careful when doing this. I've found that chevy parts that look the same can be miles apart when it comes to that last few bolts. Good luck
