In your article "axle swap bummers", you incorrectly identified a version of the Dana 28 TTB axle as a Dana 35.
The '93-'97 4-cylinder Ranger axle you mention is actually a hybrid mix of Dana 35 and Dana 28 parts (and on a few occasions it was put in some 3.0L V6 trucks as well). The TRUE Dana 35 front axle has 27 spline shafts, 5-297X (or 5-760X) u-joints, and a 7.56" ring gear diameter (1.406" pinion shaft diameter). It is also hi-pinion.
You also mention that '75-'79 Dodge Dana 44 knuckles are not compatible with other Dana 44 knuckles, I've swapped Dodge knuckles from a '89 axle onto a '78 axle, they bolted right on just fine. The result was a Dodge Dana 44 with no CAD unit and no more unitized wheelbearings.
Just thought I'd pass that along.
