well it finally happened. I droped the rear driveshaft out of my truck (80 custom deluxe)...i snapped the yoke on the transfer case and twisted off both universals...the driveshaft is somewhat rigged because it came out of a blazer and we just extended it by about 2 ft or more...its alright not broken or anything but i think because of it being rigged the way it is, it is tearing the seal out of my 12 bolt rearend....the questions i wanted to ask you guys are...what should i do with it now ?  should i get driveshafts cusom built for it? what kind of universals are the strongest ?  and where can i find a yoke off of a NP205 for the least amount of money possible, considering i have a very low budjet

What did you do to extend the drive shaft?  Cut and weld in extra length?  No wonder it blew.  Had to be way out of balance.

Check at a salvage yard for the yoke on the NP205.  Maybe the salvage yard will have a drive shaft that will work for you also.

if you cant find any shaft at the junk yard youre gonna have to pony up the coin and have them made right at a drive shaft shop, because you dont want another blow out on a trail or having fun w/it
