I have a 95 F150 2wd with a 4 inch rough country lift and I'm having some serious issues with the front end shaking like the wheels are going to come off this only happens when I make a gradual left turn at a speed of 35 to 45 mph. I have replaced every componet in the front end and nothing seems to fix it. Has anyone out there had this happen to them or does anyone have any ideas of what might be causeing it? please help because the I hve had the truck since it was new and really don't want to part with it.

Are the wheels balanced? I had a real bad wobble once only when I would go 70 mph. I got the wheels balanced and it went away.

sounds like a chase truck. wheel balance/alighnment. did you re do the bearings? if not, i learned a trick from an old timer about doing them....when you're ready to re pack them, put a coating of grease on your hands before handeling the new bearing set. this helps to keep the acid and oil in your skin from messing up the bearings.

Could be tires out of balance, tie rods shot (inner or outer), pitman or idler arm (if you have those), ball joints, loose bolts, ect.
Best thing to do is to jack the truck up and start wiggling things. I know it sounds odd, but if something is out of whack you'll probably notice it.
And as always, start with the easiest and work your way to the hardest most expensive parts.
Good luck, death wobbles suck.

I had the same problem with my 1994 f150. I put a 6in lift on 35in tires and i had the death wobble as well. I rebuilt my axle which in turn did nothing. What i ended up finding out was it was the steering gear box. The pit man arm was moving side to side and i replaced the gear box, tie rod ends, added a stabalizer and replaced the shims with and alignment. it costed around $1000 and i did all the labor myself.

Hey all, I have a wobble on a 4wheel drive van (quiqleys) 05,with only 16,000 miles on it > I replaced the track bar, front shocks, tie rod ends ,upper and lower ball joins, tires, had rotors cut, balanced tires 4 times,2 wheel alignments, but the " death wobble seems to be more ]violent when hubs are locked. When hubs are "FREE" it is hardly noticeable.I only have 3 mouths of ford parts and labor and so far I have been raked through the coals spending 2,000 dollars on a vehicle I just purchased .I seems to be agravated by bumps in the road and once it starts it is hard or imposable to control I have been a front end alignment mechanic 20 years ago but I am at the end of my rope .Please let me know what the -ell is going on with my truck with a measly 16,000 miles on it .
