I like about 185 to 195 as "ideal". If you radiator is properly size and you have the proper engine driven cooling fan for how you play, the engine temp should never vary much at all.

Most 454's you find are pretty mild unless they have been reworked a lot. A THM454 will hold up. What will fry a THM350 (or any other tranny over time) is tall gears and big tires forcing tranny torque converter to ride the stall a lot.

you should have no problem with your axles but the trans is prolly a 350 if it is a 3 speed auto if it is a manual than great the trans will b great but if its auto the trans will need 2 b upgraded to a 400

A THM350 in good order can handle a mild 454 no problem. If I was going upgrade trannies I would spend some coin and use a upgraded 700R4 Properly built a 700R4 can handle about 700 HP. A built THM350 can handle about 700 HP too. But 3 speed automatics are yesterdays news and no "replacement" 3 speed is a upgrade today. BTW, a 4L80 is modern "4 speed" THM400 with OD added.
