I have a '93 Dodge Dakota with the 3.9L V6 and sence I put 33s on my truck it was lost almost all of its low end (as to be expected). But my question is, would it be better to swap in a 5.0L 318 or if I just rebuilt this motor would it be good enough for some pretty serious wheeling. Also I was wondering what would be a quick way the get some low end back until I figure out what im going to do.

YOU PROBABLY HAVE A TIRED V6 ALREADY AND ADDING BIGGER TIRES JUST MAKES YOUR V6 BREATH MORE HEAVILY...THE BEST WAY TO REMEDY THIS IS TO REGEAR TO THE 4.10-4.88 RANGE ITLL PUT THE RPM RANGE BACK TO WHERE IT SHOULD BE AND YOU DAKOTA WILL BE EASIER ON ITSELF...IF YOUR NOT BLOWING OILY SMOKE LIKE THE DODGES ARE PRONE TO DO IN THAT YEAR ERA, TUNE IT UP! BEACUSE THE V6 SHOULD HANDLE THE TIRES WELL ENOUGH TO DO WHAT YOU WANT...BUT IF A V8 IS WHAT YOU WANT THEN DO A V8!

WELL THEN SEEIN HOW ITS DRINKIN OIL LIKE A BOOZE HOUND. THEN I WOULDNT WASTE TIME AND MONEY ON DOING A VALVE JOB,PUT THE TIME AND MONEY IN A V8.
