Let me start by saying i'm new to this and may be in the wrong section. I found a 1978 Ford F-250 for a thousand bucks with a dana 60 front and rear and was wondering if anyone would have any information as to how I could use this front axle? The pumpkin is on the driver side versus the passenger side and dana 60 axles are scarse around here. The ford has cancer very bad but has a great 400 motor trans and transfer case. Does anyone know how I could utilize the front axle on my chevy? I may be young but have built three heavily modified trucks now but this would be the first time doing a big conversion like this. I know it would be smarter to find a GM dana 60 but have been looking around for about a year now and have came up with nothing. Both danas have about 2 hours on fresh axles, seals, and bearings and trans has just been rebuilt. I would realy like to use the extra truck as a donor for a nice project. Any help is appreciated and thanks in advance.

Advance adapters should offer a way to swap in the ford transfer case on to your transmission, that way the front axle will work. as far as utilizing the front axle, a lot of cutting and welding new spring perches.

Find a decent ford body to swap on, that would be the way to go because of the rebuilt drivetrain of the Ford, just an idea.
KISS method - keep it simple stupid
