hey i need some help, i have a 2000 cherokee classic 4.0 auto 2wd and only the 1 back wheel spins when i do a power brake. but after looking i guess i need a limited-slip? is that the same as a posi? i dont think i need a locker because is about 99% street driven and i need to turn easily and smoothly. well just a point in the right direction for somehting to get both back wheels spinnin. like a eaton unit but which line, they have a few models alone and i dont know if i have a dana 35 or dana 44 so i wont even be able to order until i find out. and if any one knows the ration in the rear from factory for me mabey at the same time bump it up a notch from like a 3.55 to a 3.73 if thats the case. any advice again would be appreciated. and if anyone which im sure needs ecu engine computer work send me an email i can get cheap prices and all the work is done by standard motor products, which has been doing automotive ignitions from the 60's.

No you need a locker, limited slip tranfers power from wheel to wheel to gain grip on loose surfaces. If your a subscriber to the mag you might have seen the article for a brand new D44 complete axle with locker and disc brakes for $1400..just about $600 more than a locker alone. And a D35 or Chrysler 8.25 wont hold up to locked burnouts on pavement very long.
