it really sucks when cool trucks like older blazers, broncos, and pickups are either too expensive or too rusted. or they are kept in museum like condition never being enjoyed the wat they should be.

i also enjoy fixing pos's and making them into nice vehicles, but sometimes you have to way the cost repair to the value of the vehicle.

well 82 was the first year they offered the 6.2 in pups and im sure the same as in subs and k5s too...about $1500-$4500 for the 6.2 subs but ive found that they are a little bit more of a rare comodity than the pups are.

The 6.2 Diesel was offered in the Suburban from 1982 - 1991. I believe the last year of the 6.2 was 1993 except for use in the HMMWV (millitary Hummer). I believe the first year of the 6.5 was 1992.

When I bought my 89 4x4 burb, I was going to order one with a 6.2 when I found the one I had on a lot. 19 years and 185K miles later I am REALLY glad I did not get a 6.2. The 350 has been trouble free and gets very good MPG on road for its size (18 MPG + regularly using 93 octane with timing set to 8 BTDC and about 15 to 16 urban) Good power too.
