I know that on new truck but these WERE NOT newer style trucks. They were older style long bed club cabs and they were 94's too. As I recall, dodge may have launched LD truck in 94 and but HD ones in 95.

Being a foreman in the garage at a dodge dealer for the last 21 years, it sounds as if 1978k-20 is the right one in this argument. 94 was the year that the new body styles came out, LD and HD. Lock out hubs were no longer available after 93 also. It sounds as if Snoman got the "A" salesman to help him buy that 93 dodge and told him it was a 94. And he must have gotten in the "Superman" of the GM diesels because the Cummins had 35 ft lbs of torque more than the GM diesel and the "stick" Cummins had 2100lbs more pulling power. By the way, we have two customers that come in, both with 94 Cummins.

No superman 6.5 at all. The Cummins had a bit more torque sure BUT at a lower RPM and it was gutless above 2100 RPM or so then while 6.5 would pull well past 3000 RPM and could wind up in 4th and scale hill with style. See some see a torque number and think it is whole story but it is not because it is torque x RPM /5252 that determines the HP being delivered to load but some never seem to figure that out.
