I own a 99 s10 ls with electronic 4 wheel drive. It is not the zr2 model, it is an ls. Recently I put it in 4hi and it got stuck. It has been 3 days now and I cant seem to get it to disengage. It is a manual transmission. When I push the 2lo button I can hear the motor clicking and trying to engage but it just won't do it.

If possible I would like to figure out a way to manually put it into 2 wheel drive until the summer, seeing that I live in the north country and its cold and wet out right now. I am pretty sure that I need to do a swap on the electric motor for the transfer case, though correct me if it sounds like I am wrong.

If anybody has any advice then please shoot me back some response. Thanks  

Try this, remove TCCM fuse for several minutes to clears its memory and reboot it and then jack up one front wheel to relieve and possible torque bind. Set parking brake replace fuse and try switching out of 4lo with tranny in neutral.
