i've got a 92 f-150 stuck in a pritty bad water hole...there is a little water in the cab, about an inch...what kind of damage might this cause to the interior, tranny,  etc...

well if you dont suck up the excess water then the padding and carpet will get moldy, stink and possibly start to rust the floor over time...if not taken care of the electrical may start to do some funky stuff to ya,short out make the computer wig out cause they dont like water.and depending on how deep the hole was there could be water in the trans from the dipstick...if i were you id change all the fluids( engine, diffs,t case, trans) that way you know that theres no water in them.

If you want truck to last and not stink, you need to pull all the carpet and padding out of it to dry properly.

That truck is gonna stink...bad,even brand new carpet ,wet, will smell like wet dog,and depending on if the water was brackish, may be like a dead animal! at least the last time i went mud whumpin, hope the computor was high enough, wonder if he needs to check his axles and t/case for water intrusion also?
