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

i have the older 205 from a 76' Blazer...the yoke bolts right to the side of the case and the driveshaft bolts on there....the slide has to be in the driveshaft....but i had one made yesterday...i used a longer ford driveshaft and just cut it down and put the chevy slide on it...so i wouldnt have to go buy new universals
