I have an 1984 fullsize chevy with a turbo 350 tranny and a np 203 t-case. what i would like to know is if a np208 will work in my truck without much trouble. i have the 208 case and an old tranny that it came off of, witch is also a turbo 350. i'm not sure if the input splines are the same. any help would be greatly appriciated

Your request is kinda strange because a 84 came with a 208 and a THM350 or 700R4 so someone has swapped in a 203 if it does indeed have one. I would suggest that you look for a 700R4 to mate to 208 as not only is a it a 4 speed tranny but it has a much deeper 1st gear too. When looking for 700R4 you want one with a 30 spline input shaft for torque converter which came out in 85. Earlier 700R4's had 27 spline inputs and are to be avoided. Not because input is weak but rather because of internal changes that took place too when input shaft was changed which made the 700R4 a lot more reliable.
