this is a very serious question, that you can answer in as many or as few words as you would like, all answers will be considered for an upcoming story
why do you like fourwheeling and playing with 4x4's?

There's nothing like driving downtown in your rig covered in mud, only being able to see out of the quarter moon on your' windsheild made by your' wippers and knowing for one reason or the other someone can't take their eyes off of you. People might call you a redneck , hillbilly , etc. but you and I know deep down inside their jealous as hell! Laughing at you , picking fun. I'd like to see them build their own and drive it daily. Sissy's !
To be able to have all that horsepower , and let er' rip and watch the mud fly. I can only think of one thing better than that.
Drive it like you want to get it stuck

I'm jealous already redneck man!
(just kidding, I'm very much a redneck too. I seriously wish I could afford to own and drive a lifted 4x4. I don't have one because I don't make much money and I refuse to buy a vehicle on credit. What you posted sounds very appealing to me.)

i like being out in nature spending time with family (usually). Gives you time to contemplate life and enjoy the time you have with your loved ones, with little or no interuptions and no stresses of life. Ofcourse I am speaking of trails and camping trip type of off road and not so much mudding or dunes... I always come back from the mountains feeling refreshed and already planning the next trip... Ofcourse its fun to go bash around with friend, go mudding, playing in the sand.. and what not... but to me there is something more spiritual and meaningful to just go out and spent time in nature and sharing things with those close to you. I usually go to the mountain of southwest CO with my father..

i like to off-road because i can be out in the open and not have to worry about any thing but getting home in one pice. i can drive my rig(when i get one because i am 15 almost 16. but have been offroading for 5 years now) out to the middle of no where in the woods and camp out. dont have to search around for a camp site, or any thing else that you would have to do at a normal camp ground.

Why do I like 4-wheeling at first sounded like an easy essay question, but the more I think about it the harder it is to say. I guess I will put it as some people like reading books, playing video games, or drag racing, but for me 4-wheeling is what gets my blood moving. The pure adrenaline rush should be bottled and sold. Ripping through some mud and bouncing from rut to rut is a right of passage that all country boys need to go through. The feeling of making it through what once was unpassable is awesome. Of course don't forget the bragging rights. I feel sorry for all the city folk buzzing around in their cars or low riders because I know they will never experience the fun of 4-wheeling. To me it doesn't matter if you are into mudding or rock crawling just as long as your 4-wheeling. I mean come on all little kids including me when I was that age love big trucks with massive mud tires. Most guys can remember at least one mudding story from their past whether it is a good one or not. The bad ones seem to stick around longer though. To really answer the question to the best of my ability when somebody asks me that is to just simply say come on lets go. Frankie H, KY Edited 12/5/2005 9:47 am by yotafreak (yotafrea1)

"we all have a Black Rock, it's in our minds, and I go there all the time" (O.A.R.).
Wheelin' (or 'froading) gets me away from civilization. That's my black rock.

The reasons I enjoy wheelin and numerous. There is nothing like the feeling of building something with your own hands that you feel is capable and then going out and testing it, breaking something and then starting the process all over again. I also enjoy the lazy trail rides where you get to see awesome scenery at places where other less capable vehicles can not reach. THen there is always the adrenaline rush of boggin or dune runnin which is like nothing else I have expierenced!

I love to go 4 wheeling becuase it is the ultimate freedom to me, I off road with all 5 of my kids and my wife and Grand children too.
We all work on on the old Jeeps we find and buy.
Then as a family we restore them from the brink, and the joy of seeing a project bring a sweet lady back too life is just a incredible feeling and to show them off as you take them out to the trails knowing what it had been when you first started can choke you up.
It is a great family activity and we all love to go to the trails together in our own Jeeps and just compete against each other and anyone out their who is playing rough.
Our old Jeeps may not be fast or jacked up, but it is still lots of fun to just go and take lots of pictures to glare upon when we all ge home again...LOL

The some of the best memories I have from Japan (other than meeting my wife and the birth of my little girl) are four wheeling with the natives. We would spend all day wheeling around an area or going over a snow covered road until it was dark and we could not go any farther. but the fun was comradery afterwards. either drinking around the camp fire telling stories and jokes or going to the hot springs to relax before eating the feast they prepared, doing the best you could to try and understand what they were saying and them trying to figure out what you were saying. It was ALWAYS a great time. It friends you make while wheeling help make wheeling fun. but simply put it is just about getting dirty

Because it is a great escape from this horrible reallity we call life. Work all day to pay bills that just keep coming. Then for a weekend let all you'r worries slip away as you focus on the trail, and life is good. It gets you through the work week. Something to look forward to a goal.

im from a small Oklahoma town. I fell in love with building them first, of course that just leads to wheelin them. But its a freedom, whether your boltin on parts, makin trails repairs in 2 ft of mud cussin and screamin swearin as soon as u get out of that hole your never going wheelin again. and its also a piece of mind. everyone has herd the old sayin "come hell or high water" well we know come hell or high water or snow or ice as long as our rig is in the driveway we can go. They also bring friendship, i remember driving my wagoneer to the parts store and a guy pulled up in a nicely built cj 7 and we talked parts and he asked me where i got my bumper and he invited me to wheel on his land, just look at this sight most of us have never seen one another but we always make time to come help each other. and whether your a ford guy, chevy guy, jeep guy, dodge guy or a yota or whatever when u pull up and see a nicely built rig u always want to talk to the owner so its alot more then just that ol jeep or that ol truck as soon as someone completments your rig.
