try building a 1977 to 1993 model year dodge truck with limited budget to include spicer 44f and chrysler9-1/4 axles as well as 318 or 360 powerplant as a useful work/play vehicle with divorce mounted np 205 transfer case (can be found for as little as $150) in decent condition at local salvage yards with a little haggling and scrounging.  Dodge did use np 205 in 1987 model year for sure.  These are just mild reqirements for a build considering how many variations are out there. I bought two trucks for a total of $350.00 because people don't know where to go for aftermarket parts Knoww quite a few people in WI looking for a build like this. both functioned for a while off road till I sold one then  2 years later I broke three np241d transfer cases.  I do have rare engine/trans. combo from factory most parts stores don't know about 360 with single barrel carb and np 435stand. trans.  was in 1987 dodge d250 until 2 days ago
