I was thinking of a mid engine diesle powered 4x4.the engine would sit behind the driver with the cooling system and intercooler in the usual places except leaned back with a shroud to direct airto the right place and for visibility,as the front can be pretty short,yea it has a large electric fan,it wont need to cool like its pulling 10k on a hot day up hill.have a way to shift whatever tranny you choose,put a hummer axle set up,ya know,ifs/irs portal boxes,and a flat bottom with extended a arms to give more lift.the engine could sit backwards and put the appropriate gears in the right places,the driveline would be protected by a full lenghth bellypan.add weight of driver in appropriate length ahead of motor to balance the weight.
