I am not surprised because most boggers like you do not understand the proper usage of a 4 speed auto with proper and deeper axle gears for more power and more range options. I do not bog anymore but I used to pull long ago when sport was just starting and I understood the value of gears and always did well. (it was always more of a challenge than mud because it took brute power and traction to win. I "grew" up had kids and got on with life and did not play that way anymore. I used to mud some too but that is history as well (too hard on machinery long term, the mud and water) Still know how to build them and how to get the best power down to ground and make a drive train last doing that or towing extreme loads. The strongest reduction unit in your 4x4 is your axles. Use them wisely. Gear them as deep as practical and use a 4 speed automatic and you will carry the day because it extended drive line life and improves traction from less chassis wrap up for same wheel effort. For max pull effort the answer is in 5 something gears or better and than range up in tranny as needed.
