here is the problem...when i apply the brake the engine reves up to 1000 rpm and if i hold the brake down while in park it sometimes revs up repeatly..the brake pedal makes a swooshing sound when i press it, i seem 2 think its the brake booster..when sitting in traffic and moving slow in a stop and go situation, i go 2 relase the brake and the engine sometimes revs up or bogs down to almost a stall but then picks back up but when i go 2 press the brake again the brake pedal is stiff as a rock and very hard 2 press...any help?....i will post later with more info if needed  

It kinda sounds like a bad booster that has a steady leak and then when you use brake the extra draw together with leak overwhelms it and causes idle issues.

Go to an open parking lot or field. Disconnect the vacum brake from the booster and plug it with a rubber plug or duct tape (make sure there is no vacum leak in the plug) Take it for a drive and see if the engine acts up and does the same rev spurts.
