i have an 87 chevy p/u with a 6in. suspension lift and i am wanting to put a 2 or a 3in. body lift on to clear 36x14.5 tires with no fender triming. What all am i going to have to do, like things i will need to lengthin and put on?. Will i have to lengthin my t-case linkage? (for shifting in and out of 4-wheel drive)? Another thing i am wondering about is how the bumper is raised , i am confused on how the front bumber can be simply raised without haveing to come out because the frame is cut on an angle and fits tight against the bumper, so from what i can see i looks like you would have to have notches in your bumper for it to come straight up, but i no thats not what has to be done(hope u understand what i mean by that). As you can see i no nothing about body lifts so any of you that have them i could really use some help. thanks

I would suggest that you trim as you are getting to the point that you can have CG issues and make it top heavy and easier to flip. Higher is not always better. If you choose to lift you can get brackets to move bumpers but you will have to trim frame if you want it to be flush still in front. You will also have to modify radiator shroud as it will raise radiator too (or you could to lower radiator after body lift)If you choose to lift body I would limit it to 2 inches or less to minimize alignment and linkage issues and steering column issues too.
