I'm just new to the 4X4 hobby. I bought a 1983 CHEVY BLAZER. It has stock 350ci, and looks to have stock auto tranny and transfer case. The truck has 4" body lift, and I'm told- a 10" suspension lift. I took the monster mickey thompson 38 or 39" tires off of it, cause they were too wide- couldnt drive it on the road. I now have 35" on it and can drive highway speeds in D with the auto tranny. The rear and front ends are rolled to point at the transfer case. The rear driveshaft is on it. The front drive shaft was not on it when puchased, and after a couple attempts that failed, I cant get the front drive shaft to do that much angle. Is there an affordable way to overcome this problem???? Any good advice appreciated.

ive never seen a 4inch body might wanna bring out ya tape on that one.and measure ur ride height unless your running some big blocks on the axel ive never seen anything over 8" spring.also does the axel you have got a double cardan joint {cv joint) on it.also make sure you have same gear ratio in the front might not have a front shaft for a reason.had that happen to me.

First you NEVER "roll" front axle for Ujoint angle. That throws caster way out of whack and can make it handle real strange at times. You need high angle CV joints in that front drive shaft and roll the axle back. Next you need about some 4.88 gears in axles.

The front driveshaft does have a double jointed CV in it, and still wont hook up. The body lift looks like a set of 2- 2" kits under it. The truck drives pretty darn good at highway speeds with the smaller tires on it. Does anybody make an affordable drop box mod kit to put on the transfer case to get lower driveshaft angles??? Thanks.

Where can I find the high angle CV joints mentioned above??? Might try them before modding the transfer case.
