I just bought my first 4x4 truck and need to know how to id the vitial part numbers(ie. axle, transfer case). Are there any hidden problems I should be on the look out for. And last, it has a 6" lift with 35" tires. Is there anyway to gear the rear end to bring the speedo back to true and if there is, do I do the front too?
I have a ton more questions but dont want to bore y'all. Any advise would be a huge help.
Thanks, James D.

a haynes or chilton manuel is usualy the first place I start when trying to find out drivetrain specifics.
usualy there's a tag in the door jamb or in the glove box that will list secific options.
here's a site with a calculator to refigure your final drive ratio to get the speedo back in line, if you do regear always do both axles!! http://www.ringpinion.com/Calculators.aspx

superlift offer a type of programmer, called TRU SPEED, that you can plug up in your truck, that will correct the speedo to different tire size, and gear combo's.
