on the back of my 305 right by the distributer is two brass fitting for the oil sending unit, it is leaking cant seem to be able to get a wrench on it to fix it to close to the fire wall. any ideas how to fix with out pulling motor, or paying for shop time??

this is where you make your own tools. get the right size wrench heat it up with a torch and bend it to fit down in there. a lot of the older vehicles needed custom made tools to speed up the job or even just to fix with out a lot of part removal

You could also get what they used to call a "crows foot" which is a open end wrench head and designed to be used on a 3/8 or 1/2 inch drive extension and ratchet for working in really tight areas.

also if you need more room then mark your distributor and plug wires and remove it to get to the oil pressure sender better, and while your at it inspect the dist shaft for cracks that will cause other problems.
